Born in Milan in 1985, Andrea Chimento has an in-depth experience in film criticism: he has been writing since 2009 for IlSole24Ore.com and contributes to leading Italian magazines, such as Cineforum and La Rivista del Cinematografo . He is editor-in-chief of LongTake.it. PhD in Culture of Communication after a Master’s Degree in Film Studies, he is lecturer for Film History and Criticism at Università degli Studi in Milan. He has been granted different awards, among which Adelio Ferrero and Scuola Holden prizes in 2009, and published several essays and works, such as “Dal Cyberpunk al mistero dell’anima: il cinema di Shin’ya Tsukamoto”; “Alla ricerca della (in)felicità: il cinema di Todd Solondz” and “Il divo-La grandezza dell’enigma”.
